Ascent Mindset: Lead 101 + Mindset Training

With Steven T. (Yoga Instructor) and Quinn (Lead 101 Instructor)

Over the course of four hours, participants will practice movement, meditation, breathwork, mindset activities, and conversations that connect yogic philosophy, psychological research, and personal experiences with their love for climbing.

For the first two hours, Steven will lead participants through movement, meditation, and activities that encourage each person to honestly explore and address their physical, mental, and emotional barriers preventing them from climbing at their highest potential. Next, they will work to recognize and reprogram beliefs, as well as practice strategies to reduce stress and optimize performance.

Armed with new narratives and psychosomatic tools, Quinn will be coaching climbers for the last two hours to refine technique and learn to lead through an embedded Lead 101 course. Beginning with foundational techniques on the ground, and finishing with on the wall strategies, participants will apply lessons from the first two hours to this performance portion of the class.

Leaving this workshop, participants will have new practices for cultivating self-awareness, tools to manage negative thoughts and stress, and new knowledge and technique to feel confident when climbing.

PREREQUISITES:
- Must be able to climb a 5.10 top rope - without hanging
- Recommended three (3) months climbing experience
