WELCOME!
HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO GET READY FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Mesa Rim Mission Valley features tall walls for top rope and lead climbing, shorter walls for bouldering, a diverse yoga program, fully stocked fitness center, and spaces for relaxing, connecting with others, studying, and working.
Here’s how to prepare for your first visit, in three easy steps:
- Pick your preference. Some activities require prior instruction or certification, so make sure to read the details on each activity before your first visit.
- Choose a plan. We offer day passes, punch cards, and monthly memberships. Click the rates button below to find a plan that works for you.
- Sign a waiver. Everyone that visits our facility must complete our waiver. Save time and complete it online (below) before your visit. Also, please make sure to bring a valid ID when coming into the gym for the first time so we can verify your information.

Bouldering
Bouldering is unroped climbing on our shorter walls. No partner or certification is required, but climbing is always more fun when you bring a friend or two!
TOP ROPE
To climb the tall walls, you must use proper safety equipment and have a partner to manage the climbing rope. Certification is required and we offer classes daily for first-time climbers.
Instruction
We have a variety of classes and instruction opportunities so you can get your climbing journey started on the right track. Learn everything from basic technique to advanced training skills.
LEAD
Lead climbing is a more advanced version of rope climbing and is optional on many of our climbing routes. Certification is required and classes are offered monthly for those looking to learn the skill.
